An example of _ others
A non visual art comment (an other) looks like this:
Last year a band I saw and heard and didn't like one little bit was Fleet Foxes. They put out a new album - Helplessness Blues - and I love it. What have they done to change my mind? Better songs? Better arrangements? Less bathroom echo? I think a bit of all three. Its good when this happens. A bit of development on both sides was required.

You have to start somewhere
As an extension to a website presence which is not so easy to update, or add my voice to, this blog may be the business... only one way to find out.
Below is an image of a painting that didn't make it to the 'gallery'. A portrait based on my partner, Jo. Hard to say if it is much of a likeness - its pretty roughly painted but has an atmosphere that I quite like.
My next post will, I hope, will be a bit more ambitious/interesting. As I suggest in the title - starting is always the hardest ..
